Apart from the "Seoul Downtown/Palace Course", there is another tour course being "Seoul Panorama Course". So, my third day is basically finishing up this course. This bus course covers area beyond hangang river and the stops are mostly have magnificent view of Seoul. Again, one day is not enough to cover all places.

From Gwanghwamun, I took the bus and get off at the second stop, Myeongdong. Here, I visited the Myeongdong Cathederal. There is a hill garden in front of the cathederal which you can climb for a more "scenic" option to get to cathederal (compared to the lame pavement which vehicles use). Inside the church, there was a serene silence with few attendees present making prayers. Behind the church,
there is a statue of Mary and a spot for you to take a kneel and pray. to the left of the statue is a cabinet which has lighted candles sold for 1,000 won. This candle can be placed in front of the statue. I've never seen/heard of this practice when I visited churches in New Zealand not from my Christian friends.

From the Myeongdong, I took the tour bus again and got off at Seoul Animation Center. The front of the center is decorated with statue figures from Korea's famous cartoons (and I'm familiar with none of them). Inside is pretty fancy, like an anime cafe in Japan. There are also cool interactive games which you can try out for free. It's pretty cool for children but I don't think teenagers and adults would love them.

My third stop; Namsan tower. Okay, if you're looking for deal, it is better to take the Downtown-Palace cruise bus and get off at in front of the Namsan tower instead. The Seoul Panorama course bus stops at the cable car at the foot of Namsan hill. You can climb you way up as footpath is available or you could take the cable car which costs money too. My advice is to take the cable car up and walk your way down. I got lucky on that day as there was an event going on where there are actors that wore traditional guards outfit and there was also a booth which they allow you to try out Korean's Hanbok (traditional Korean clothes) for free. In front of the water is the water fountain that shoots water from the floor, a turret and two decks which are filled with "love locks" like the one in Paris.

I had a lychee ice cream for lunch (which I will compensate with heavy dinner later) whilst eating, I met with another Malaysian and had a nice chat. From here I proceeded for Som Sevit. Som Sevit is a......convention center if I were to describe it. There were three buildings which stands afloat on top of Hangang river and next to them is a performance stage which is also afloat on top of Hangang.

I went to the top of one of the buildings and viewed a spectacular panoramic view of Hangang river.
After hangang river I took the last bus back to Gwanghwamun and visited the Gwanghwamun Gate.
I was lucky that I made it for the soldier change procession. The process takes about 10 minutes and when stationed, the guards stood tight on their spot like the British palace guard. Walking past the gate, there is a small building that allows you to try out guards uniforms for 5 minutes for you to take photos with. Too bad that they did not allow guests to wander around the compound and even inside the castle with the uniform on. I worn the captain uniform, particularly because of its bright colors and that it's the highest ranking officer uniform that I could worn. I walked around viewing turrets and walls around the site.

Late evening, I went to Dongdaemun to look for anything special for dinner. I found a restaurant with pictures of scene of Runningman members (popular Korean variety show) eating in their place. Cool, they have English menu but I end up eating only Egg Ramen. After spending enough time, I returned back to the Guesthouse, and had a chat with the staffs of the guesthouse before sleep. The staffs were from diverse backgrounds. Only one of them (other than the owner) were Korean. There were a Filipino, two German bffs, two American university students and an American Chinese who is a chef (and he's 21). It's interesting to learn that usually, the backpacker staffs are International students from local Korean universities. Working in guesthouse allows them to have free lodgings with additional pay as well. We chat about places of interests in Korea and back home, relationships and even what to do with our lives. The last bit was kinda deep as we were all in our twenties. Being with them made me appreciate how different the society expectations on its members can be. Good experience. Good learning.

Recently, I have been addicted to "Friction" by Imagine Dragons. Heard it from Ghost Recon Wildlands. It's been stuck in my head since.

On the second day, I took the Seoul Downtown Tour bus ticket. You can purchase the ticket on the bus at the cost of 12 000 won which means you could get the bus pass by simply waiting for the bus at the nearest seoul tour bus stop. This pass covers the palaces (and some gates) that can be found in Seoul and the course also includes the Namsan Tower. You can freely hop off and hop on to any of the stop with the ticket and the bus comes every 40 minutes with their timetable supplied with the brochure so I didn't had to wait long as I could plan how long for each place. For my case, I decided to take the tour from its starting location, Gwanghwamun and exiting via exit 6. The bus stop is in front of Koreana Hotel. If you're confused just follow along to the direction of the red bus (that's what I did) when you exit from the subway. Also, know that you cannot visit all the places in the course in one day unless you just hop off, quickly take a selfie in front of the place and hop on the next bus. Where's the fun in that?

My first stop was the Korean War Memorial. It shows the history of wars that had occured in Korea from its ancient times to a much recent Korean War.Though, the Korean War was given the most prominence in the displays. I was there quite early and managed to reserved an English guide to tell me the history of Korean War. It is amazing that the foreign language guides were all volunteers and mine happened to be a first year university student majoring in English language. I learnt how during the war the young high-schoolers and the elderly were recruited. The high-schoolers were sent to the fronts where they were meant to be as a distraction to the North Korea so that the South Korea could mount an offensive on the other fronts whilst the North Korea army fight against the South Korean high-schoolers. These high-schoolers were only given few hours of training using the weapons before being sent off to the front lines. One artifact on display that moved me the most was a letter from one of these high-schoolers screaming out for his mother and telling the mother how horrendous the condition he was experiencing. The writer of the letter died the day after the letter was written. The elderly on the other hand, because they can't engage in battles, they became the supplier for munitions and rations for the soldiers in the battlefield. Because of heavy burden they are carrying and their poor physical conditions, many of them were gunned down by the North Korean soldiers.

On the outside of the Memorial building, there lies tens, if not hundreds of military vehicles, from fighter jets to the armored personnel carriers and ballistic missiles. Really cool stuffs especially if you're into military stuffs or you're like me, who enjoy playing WWII games. There were groups of kindergarden and primary school children on their field trip, learning their history and also playing in armored tanks!

My second stop was the Korea National Museum. I had my lunch here; vegetable kimbap (sushi) for 2000 won. I was frugal so in the cafeteria a load my plate with a lot of free radish pickles to make me full. They do free self-service kimchi as well, but I never liked the taste. Just my personal preferences. In the National Museum, they showcased the medieval history of dynasties that existed in South Korea along with works of art from those time, including artifacts that were from foreign cultures, showing the exposure and influence of many cultures into Korea which translated into their fashion, works of art and also religious rites. Outside, there is an annex museum dedicated to Hangeul (Korean alphabet system). In here, tragedy struck. I lost my bus pass. However, because it was already late in the afternoon, I decided to visit other places by subway instead of purchasing another pass. Fortunately, in front of the Korea National Museum is a subway station conveniently located. I got on the train and head for Olympic Park.

The Olympic Park is a pretty big park, housing numerous stadiums that was built for the Olympic games in Korea in 1988. In the middle of the park lies the castle ruins and in between stadiums, the walking course is filled with flowerbeds and artistic sculptures. So, it is technically a botanical garden as well.

On my way back, I hop off at Lotte World theme park station. The area outside the Lotte World is also a park. The cool part of the Lotte World theme park is that it is like a castle, with moat. Technically, it stands on top of a river. Around the park, I saw a lot of retired folks exercising or playing Baduk. It is a traditional board game. In Japan it's known as Go and in Malaysia, we played them using square notebook (that was meant for math lesson) instead. It's called Main Kepung. I did a little excursion aroung the park and also inside the Lotte World shopping mall. I thought of having dinner in the Mall, but instead I returned to Itaewon for dinner.
My dinner in Itaewon was in Makan Restaurant. It is a Korean cuisine eatery that serve halal meat. The owner and the cook are Koreans whilst their servers are Indonesian students. It's clever when I think about it. The Indonesian servers could easily accommodate for Malaysian and Indonesian tourists because they speak the same language and because English is the second language in Indonesia (I hope I'm right), they could also accommodate for other foreigners as well. Korea and Japan has this similarity of the younger generation could understand but speak little English but the older generation generally hardly knows them. Well, Malaysians are the same too, but our exposure to English is much more apparent, thanks to American TV shows and multicultural backdrop of Malaysians. Apologies for going off in a tangent here. Anyway, I had their reccommendation Makan Bibbimbap. It is a set of grilled beef chunks with rice along with numerous side dish. First time I are bibimbap, I did it wrong. I did it the Japanese way where I picked bits from the dished, transferred it to the rice bowl and eat it. The actual way of doing is I put ALL the dishes (including rice) into the grilled beef bowl (which is the largest bowl in the set, screaming out "put them here dammit!"), mixed them thoroughly and eat them. Well, I get to eat meat and that's what matters.

After dinner, I stop for prayer in Itaewon Mosque and then I headed for Dongdaemun. It's a popular place for tourists to buy clothes, especially the traditional Korean clothes. It's a bit expensive, if you're Malaysian. If you're folks from First World Countries, you get a pretty decent deal. I got there pretty late, so although the district is still live and loud, the places to get these traditional clothes are already closed. Well, I did the second thing that Dongdaemun is known for; the Dongdaemun gate (well, -mun means gate). The gate is actually situated around a roungabout and you cannot enter the gate. I walked around the roundabout taking a good look at the gate, then I rested in front of one of the mall in Dongdaemun, trying to spot other Malaysian travellers. Most of them comes as group of friends wearing trendy clothes or young families with their small children and parents.

Around 10pm. I returned back to the Guesthouse, took a hot shower and immediately fell asleep. I had a long day as it's going to be the same again tomorrow. Yeay!!

Recommendation time!

Alright. for this post I would like to share a very catchy tune covered by a talented utaite (term used for Niconico Douga users that perform covers for music be it vocaloid, anison or mainstream jpop) EVO+.

Yes, EVO+. Not a brand model of new Mitsubishi Lancer series. Anyway, her voice is really Westernish and that combined with her flair in Japanese (as she is Japanese) made the song really pleasent to the ear. Let you judge her talent yourself. Here's sugarvine
Between then and perhaps end of December, is a total free time for me. With savings I've accumulated since 2010, this year I went all out to travel as much as I can.

My trip to Korea was on September and honestly, I was kind of an impulsive decision. Kind of meaning, I did made this imaginary itinerary for if I ever going to Korea, these are the places I'll visit though my real plan was only made a week prior the trip. Basically, it was "Let's buy the tickets now and plan later".

The itinerary was for 7 days and 6 nights. And also, I'm travelling solo. If I could give a reason, there were two; I was going to go to Japan with another friend the following month so this would be a good practice (I don't understand my own logic in this) and I intended to test myself if I can be an independent adult who can properly look after myself. But since this is the first time I'm travelling solo so I decided to play a little safe-I booked for a single accommodation only for the whole trip. Not very brave from the start eh? Shut up.

So, I booked my flight through Expedia and reserved a backpacker hostel from the same site. I would like to point out that Expedia have limited options of hotels available compared to dedicated accommodation booking sites like Booking,Agoda and Trivago but it is convenient for having all your itineraries from a single source. The total cost of flight and accommodation, RM812. I shat you not. I exchanged RM1000's worth of Korean Wons as my budget.

My flight was on 1 am and arriving to Seoul, Korea on 8 am. I'm the type that couldn't sleep in flight so upon arrival to Seoul, I just wanna sleep! My reserved hostels was Kimchee Hongdae Guesthouse, in Hongdae. If you're from Incheon International Airport, take the Airport express train and get off at Hongik University. The convenience about staying in Hongdae is the fact that you don't have to switch between stations when trying to get to your accommodation. Plus, because of Hongik University, there were a lot of chic boutiques, fanciful eateries and fast food joints, and they open till very late.

Too bad for me though, the check-in time was at 3pm. Well, at least they allow me to leave my luggage with them. That's a convenient perk about staying in Korea, the host allow you to leave your belongings with them even after you've checked out! Simply inform them about it.

After leaving my backpack behind I headed for Itaewon. Itaewon is the "foreigner" part of Seoul. Historically diplomats from China and other foreign states would reside in Itaewon. Even today, Itaewon is the most culturally-diverse part of the city. Itaewon also houses a big mosque and church which stood on the opposite ends of the town and up the hill. Itaewon feels alot like Auckland, New Zealand because of hilly streets and a lot of Asian restaurants (it's a given in Korea but why it's so in Auckland, eh?). I headed for the mosque to get a power nap but before that I stop by Mr Kebab for lunch. The kebab is quite spicy, although it is a turkish kebab cafe. It wasn't because of the sauce but the marinate for the kebab. Maybe this version was to match with koreans' liking for spicy things? Just I was about to enter the masjid I ran into an acquaintance of mine from New Zealand. He said that he is now living in Seoul, which is shocking to me because I met him earlier this year in New Zealand! None of my friends knew he moved. After the chat, I took ablution, entered the mosque, walking towards the nook and dozed off till almost time for noon prayer. Then, I slept again. Really.
When it's around 4-5pm I strolled around Itaewon and walked till the front of the Itaewon church. From the church I could see the mosque.

Then I returned back to Hongdae and decided to try the Korean street food. At evening various hawker stalls opened around the street. It's the kind of stall where they placed stools around the stall and the customers eat around the shopkeeper. I noted that half of the hawker stalls have only korean signs but the other half have Japanese or English. To be safe, I went to the one with English signs. Generally, the food served in this kind stall is oden (fish cakes boiled in soup), ddeokbokki (rice cakes with very spicy gravy), twigim (basically batter-fried vegetables and eggs; aka tenpura they will know it if you mention tenpura) and blood sausage. Also, when you eat in the hawker stall, he would serve you a cup of soup used to boil the oden. I ordered ddeokbokki and was looking forward to the taste. It was spicy. Like really spicy. After eating only two pieces, I had to drink. To make it worse, the stall does not sell drinks other than the soup served earlier. Glad I had a bottle of water with me every time. Though I had to buy a new one right after eating ddeokbokki though. That was the last time I ate ddeokbokki in Korea. Sitting next to me at that time was a Korean student that studied abroad and he had his friend with him who's fifteen from Italy. Yeay, they spoke English well!

We had a chat for a bit and then I headed back to my hostel. After settling down, I slept again. I think it was around 8-8.30 pm when I dozed off. That late flight plus the fact that I took a bus earlier from Ipoh to KLIA airport since 5.30 pm and didn't sleep during the trip as well really took its toll.Shiranaii Otokohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02772988866779569764noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371316675975627822.post-43086326049466548872015-12-02T03:03:00.003+12:002015-12-02T03:03:35.270+12:00Restart!Hello!

I've restarted this blog again after many years of hiatus. These past five years, I was fortunate enough to travel to different countries (particularly 2015). The experience I've had was wonderful and life-changing....to a certain extent. Though, I think over time I would forget the minute details of places I've been to, people I've met and festivals and occasions I've stumbled into. Therefore, apart from random ramblings about music (I'm still hooked with Japanese music), this blog would be my own traveller's log.

Fun fact that I've read about a particular world's tourist, Ibnu Battuta. His great work, the Rihla was actually written down and compiled on the order of the Moroccan Sultan at that time. Imagine that if such order was not taken, his great journey would've been only fragments of narrated story from those who have met Ibn Battuta during his travels.

Shiranaii Otokohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02772988866779569764noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371316675975627822.post-18280410204794975322011-06-18T17:17:00.001+12:002011-06-18T17:18:18.351+12:001 more to go

Members of the course. The class had been so awesome. It's 2 hours per session and 2 times a week with 1 hour tutorial and 1 hour peer study group. However, memorising 20 Kanji per week isn't very fun. Early in the semester, I memorised as much Kanji required in the course so that I wouldn't run into much trouble in the end of the course. Plus, though it is encouraged for those learning language to make flash cards, I've never made one. I relies on making a sentence with hiragana and make another sentence with the same meaning but I replace the words I've learned in Kanji into the latter. Learning vocabs? Pretty much making labels on my stuffs and watching animes.....and listening to music as well. Pretty messy but it worked wonders!

What I've learned when learning a new language is that it is important to have a great interest in the language. What makes learning a new language is hard is that it requires one to practice constantly. Sentence patterns and grammers ain't that difficult. Just that trying to translate a sentence in your mind from English to Japanese is the most difficult bit. Listening and reading is easy but when speaking, you need to mind you pronunciation, tenses, fomalities and that sorts.

Starting today, I've finished 2 out of 3 final exams. The last one is at the end of the month. I got plenty of time to prepare but today is not a part of it. Bah, I'll begin tomorrow!

So, I've made another compilation of Wotamin works. I'm unable to sort all her works by date so I apologise if there are overlaps between this one and the previous one. Also, I'm including works from Toriko and Somnium. Trivia : Wotamin is Korean. Toriko....well....I dunno. Her english was smooth though.

There you have it
Yeay! It's finally mid term break. After hectic study schedule, I finally earn my break. What? did you chuckle earlier? You didn't believe that I actually STUDYING?!! It's legit, ok! I DID spent most of my weekday hitting books. Weekend is another story though......but never mind that.
The past 2 weeks had been spent hitting the books in preparation for test. There was Philosophy test, Japanese Progress test, Biochemistry first test and earlier today, Biotechnology Test. I did well on the earlier three but not for the last one. Biotechnology paper is surprisingly difficult! I can't believe I performed minimally for my major papers but the opposite for the other papers.

Believe it or not, I spend a lot less time playing games since a month ago. I realised that as long as I can distract myself doing something more productive / significant, I can literally go through a whole day without playing them. Although, I would be playing games when I'm stressed but that would take only about an hour per day. I think I've become somewhat more organised. Every morning, if I could somehow stay awake after Subuh prayer, I would spend the morning reviewing Kanji and practising my Japanese writing skills or reading philosophy papers before class. I find Philosophy paper interesting, they often makes me think for a solution to many hypothetical, yet plausible (well, normally the situation isn't THAT PLAUSIBLE) situations. They pose questions that I would most of the time, take for granted. For example, in animal treatment, I'm taking a stand to support it but I faced problem of to what extent that animal experimentation can be done and I need to find a good reason why.

Anyway, back to my schedule. In the afternoon, I would be caught in the Uni shop, queuing for Tulsi Butter Chicken curry (that thing is a yum!). Let's see, on Monday, I would spend my afternoon in Language Learning Centre after class to read Japanese manga (I'll be honest, I'm reading Doraemon). Same thing on Friday. Tuesday and Thursday would be spent in labs, doing experiments. On Wednesday, I would meet up with a good friend of mine to practise speaking Japanese together and attend tutorial for Japanese Language. From the looks of it, I'm sure spending a lot of my time doing Japanese! Well, kind of. Learning new language is always fun, ESPECIALLY if you enjoy their music!

Only at night, I would be reading Biotechnology and Biochemistry notes. I used to attempt to read ahead of lectures but it doesn't help. The lecturers tend to omit keywords in the handouts so that I HAVE TO ATTEND LECTURES! Before sleep, I would then do my share of Quran recitation and attempt to memorise verses. Seems dull, yes? Say what you may but doing this make me have a good night sleep, knowing my whole day is spent unwasted.

On random yet often occasion, I revised my silat. I'm a home bug and I'm not good at sports. So martial arts do me good. It's the only means for me to sweat myself. Once a week, I would ask a housemate to help me by becoming my 'punching bag'. Lol. I'm grateful that he's fine with it though.

So, waffles aside, I'm going for a 5 day trip to Rotorua starting next Monday. What I'm gonna do next. Hmm.....let's see........nah, I think I'll just memorise more Kanji. I think I've been lied by the course catalogue. The book says "memorise 92 kanji". What it DIDN'T say was that there are about 32 supplementary kanji to memorise! *&#*&$(@#&$(@!!!

Sorry guys, I won't be giving Japanese lesson for this post. Perhaps on the next post.

Yeah, and finally, I've made a new Nico Singer Compilation. The girl's Kano. Her voice mimics Makino Yui.
Try it out
We're fine.....

There's something about Supercell that makes me sooooo hooked!

There was another aftershock in Christchurch last 20th March. Around 182 people were killed in the shock. A controversy erupted since a prediction was made that there was going to be an earthquake on 20th March but the prediction was the quake strikes Wellington. Alhamdulillah, Wellington wasn't affected by the shock.

Still, it makes me feel uneasy that there were a lot of earthquakes recently. Plus, Wellington is by the seaside; tsunami is highly plausible. It might be just me but there was less activity by the bay too.

Anyway, I've prepared my own emergency escape kit in case disaster strikes. Let's see what I've got. Hmmm, passport, a manual rechargeable flashlight, some canned food, a bottle of water (I might need more), water treatment tablets and first aid kit. I did thought of having an emergency cellphone but keeping my cellphone by my side at all time should suffice. Besides, I wouldn't afford topping up the emergency phone every month (Now that I think of it, I could just keep a receipt of $20 topup along the cellphone. Dammit!)

Now onto Japanese (じゅぎょははじめます!)

Grammar - How to ask?

In it's simplest, there are two ways of forming a 'question' sentence.

1st. か's the word

This is the simplest of the simplest! A sentence to affirm something commonly ends with -desu. All you need to do is just to add ka (か) immediately after -desu! かんたんです!(It's simple!)

Example (just in case....)

Affirmation : これはかばんです。

kore wa kaban desu. (This is a bag)

Question :これはかばんですか。

kore wa kaban desu ka? (Is this a bag)

2nd. Using なん/なに (Nan/Nani)

Adding ka in the end of sentence pretty much prompts a yes/no response to the sentence. Like above, you would respond yes, this is a bag or no, this isn't a bag. For something that can't be answered yes/no, we'll use nan / nani. Nan is used immediately before (or in a way combined) desu or before a "counter" like ji/sai (O'clock / years old)

Example : あなたのしゅみはなんですか。

Anata no Shumi wa nandesuka? (What is your hobby?)

いま、なんじですか。

Ima, nanji desuka? (What time is it now?)

Nani, on the other hand, is used before a particle like wa/ga/ni etc.

Example : あなたはなにをしてりる

Anata wa nani (w)o shiteiru? (What are you doing?)

Sorry but I couldn't delve any further about nani since I haven't cover enough grounds for that. After I've gained enough lesson, I would get back to it.

Vocabulary:

むいて muite To turn toward/To face Like, Kocchi Muite-look over here!

ざんこく zankoku Cruel

しゅまつ shuumatsu Weekend

まいにち mainichi Every day

まいばん maiban Every night

あまり amari Not much

I found Supercell album. Any Yanagi@NagiYanagi@Gazelle@Supercell fans should grab this one!

Supercell - Today is a beautiful day

I'm going to use my petty Japanese language skills and translate the album title as :きょうは美しいひび

Hope I'm right!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Piano cover of Go! Go! Maniac! Subscribe if you like. His covers are cool.
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Well Hello
It's been a very long time. Yup, I was lazy and there was no motivation for doing this. Until 2 days ago, a frined of mine talked about his blog which he utilised as a 'revision tool'. It's really interesting and honestly I couldn't have thought of that

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Here's how it works :

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">He made notes in class and wrote it up in his blog. He puts in grammars, new vocabularies and some phrases which he thinks practical or just plain interesting. Sometimes, he used the slides posted on Online Blackboard and pasted them in where necessary.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">For my case, I could do that, I suppose but that would be limited to my Japanese and Philosophy course. Plus, judging by the accumulation of course points (it's something like credit hours), I might not be able to pursue my interest in Japanese any further than Introductory Japanese. Regardless, may my own passion guide me to self-education.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">それでわはじまるよ!!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Grammar

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The は particle

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">So, は is generally like 'is/are/am'. It's used normally to form a sentence of stating a fact/situation.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The simplest sentence one can think of is "My name is Takeshi."

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The sentence would be : わたし は たけし です。[Watashi wa Takeshi desu].

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Desu is kinda there in a simple sentence to make it appropriate.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">The equation here is X は Y です.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">This pattern is used to indentify a person or a thing X as item Y.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Let's have another go :

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">ほりえさん は せんせいです Romaji : Horie-san wa Sensee (Sensei) desu. [Mr/Mrs Horie is a teacher]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">ボア は かんこくじん です Romaji : Boa wa kankokujin desu. [BoA is a Korean]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">せんもん は かがく です Romaji : Senmon wa Kagaku desu. [(My) major is science]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">*note to self :

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">1. If you watch some drama or anime, they would use 'sensei' when refer to a teacher. eg. Itoshiki sensei. By writing 'hiraganacally' it is sensei [せんせい] but the correct pronunciation is sensee.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">2. Actual Japanese sentences do not have gaps between words. Really, even up till now, reading them is a pain!!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">3. I used to be a fan of BoA.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">4. I'm using hiragana and katakana since I'm not good at Kanji yet

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Vocabulary lists

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">1. ゆうびんきょく - Yuubinkyoku [Post Office]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">2. ぎんこう - Ginkoo [Bank]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">3. きっさてん- Kissaten [Cafe]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">4. じょし-Joshi [Dictionary]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">6. さいふ- Saifu [Wallet]

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Phrases list would be posted on next, upcoming post. Sorry guys, I couldn't find anything interesting yet.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">So anyway, I DO keep my promise of posting songs for each post. However, I'm going to make an ammendment about that. Currently, I'm really into NicoNico Douga singers and their works. That being said, I'll make some random compilations or maybe just grab some good songs and shares them here.
Comeback!

Found this while random browsing

Wow, it's now close to November! Currently everyone is in the "Final Examination" mode and spending more time in library than other places. Well, who can blame em? It's 6 Bajillion times better!

Well anyway, when I open my Facebook it will always be something like this :

Opening my Facebook account......

(Browsing.....browsing.....scrolling down.....like here, like there......putting LOL spam on whereever I could.....)

Hm.....I'm seeing that pattern again.

Surely you guys have noticed how status updates of your friends on Facebook changes dramatically in during the exam period. Still, I'm just putting it out there certain things that will pop up during the finals

1) People started asking for forgiveness and ask others to make du'a for them

It's a praiseworthy act to seek forgiveness from others and it is very good do make du'a from others. People should do this more often and I REALLY hope people seek for forgiveness at all times, not just prior before examination. Plus, if you really want to seek forgiveness, it is better to see that person yourself or at least call him/her. Writing status updates about it or writing a draft about being sorry-if-I-have-ever-wronged-you and mailed it to your whole network of friends is just..........

2) Self-motivating status updates

"History subject for tomorrow! FIGHT!", "Tomorrow is the last paper! Aja aja fighting!" (I have no idea what aja aja fighting means nor how it was created in the first place). Those are the common few. I think it's a great thing though, having your friends cheering and wishing for the best of you, or motivating you if you're diffident (I thought there is such word as "inconfident", guess not) about your exam. That's what friends for, right? Always there whenever you need them.

3) Massive tagging on motivational photos (my habits of posting demotivational posters is counted out okay?!)

The best thing to do if you're uncertain that your friends might not see your wish from the status update. It's easy; find neat photos over the net, edit it with wishes or motivational messages, upload it to Facebook and click-click-click for x number of times where x can range from 10 to 3000.....or more. Doing so in the past will get you 99 notifications in less than an hour but with the new layout, you might just get 3 maybe?

4) The Balik Kampung Fever (Basically it's the sudden burst of homesick feelings)

This phenomenon might be explained biologically. You see, as we finished our final papers one by one and meeting close to the last paper, our brain started to secrete hormones called WGB (wanna go back) hormones which is then travels to the heart to which in turn secreting FTP (EFF this paper!) hormones in pulses which renders our facial muscles to contract, making a frowning expression from time to time (side effects may include suddenly remembering your families, friends or the girl from back home that you really miss and hearing a slow, nostalgic music in your head) . Upon finishing the last paper, there would be a surge of WGB and FTP hormones which causes a negative-feedback mechanism which instead the facial muscles worked oppositely to create a BIG SMILE and this event stimulates the epidermis muscles to stretch out and the voice box of the person to vibrating at YAHOOO freqency.

5) Depressing updates (which may be linked with abnormal Balik Kampung Fever)

Often occurs after certain examination papers which the person might or might not have prepared enough. This is due to they find themselves unable to answer critical questions (which carry loads of marks) or they are just the douche who thought anything below an A is fail. Yeah, I've left this blogging for few weeks already. Frankly, I don't know what to write sometimes. I didn't really participated in any activites. Wait, I did had to help selling the Vicmuslim foods but I'll spit it out later.

It's the month of ramadhan so my days are more packed with revising, labs, reciting quran + improving them and Tarawikh prayers. At first glance, I felt it was draining on me to endure this month but and another point of view, I did received what I've asked for. I prayed for my days to be filled with beneficial activities; be it to Allah, myself or others. After that thought, I've became more positive toward this specially-made schedule in Ramadhan.

I've been gaming and anime-ing less too. That's a pro right? Well, my hibernation period increases too! My bed time would be about 10pm or else I wouldn't be able to wake up for sahur. After subuh, I would be sleeping again for another hour. Yup, A lot of sleeping there! Since I couldn't study at my new home, I've spent more time in the campus.. Usually, I would be staying back after tarawikh for an hour or two in computer labs to revise, finishing up reports and also, downloading animes (I can save my share of home bandwidth this way. Lol!). Well, gaming and anime time has been properly sort out involuntarily. I would be playing games at the hours before breaking fast, which usually less than an hour and a half and watching animes only during breaking fast and sahur.

Oh yeah, here's Ikimono Gakari Kimi ga Iru PV. Really cool, I'll say.

Seriously, life's been even more mundane lately! The weekdays were filled with revisions, readings and planning for next semester's course. Apparently, I would need to take Japanese introduction course in order for me to accumulate enough points for graduating. I was planning to take Buyer Behaviour study (200 level marketing) but considering the location of the campus which are far from my current campus, I decided to put it off.

Today, I had my first chemistry lab. 3 hours inside there has been very draining to me. Since the topic covered for this trimester is spectroscopy, there's no explosion or corrosion risk. Awww no fun! Plus, I would be handling fragile, expensive equipments. Just the thought of accidentally breaking one of those equipments already made me shiver =.=". Apart from that, the size of the lab class has been sort of diminished. There's only 18 people per session. Perhaps due to limited equipments, 'ay? Half of the group I was already familiar with and the other half pretty much unknown to me. It's really awkward that although I've been sharing classes with some locals, I've hardly even know their names! There's like an invisible barrier between us. This don't happen between Asians though. Drat, I think I do have racism buried inside of me!

Just this evening, I ran into a Malaysian senior whom had sold her books to me. Apparently, she would return back to Malaysia this weekend as she's finished her three year degree. Too bad. She made great Nasi Kerabu. Well anyway, I asked her of her plans. She said she would look for jobs in private sectors since she's a biotechnology students and although it has been "over-promoted" by the Malaysian Government, there isn't much job for biotechnology graduates unless you're in agricultural fields. Worse, the biotechnology in Malaysia does not put emphasis in genetic engineering and bacteria modification, which what the Victoria University is putting the stress on! THE PART OF MODIFYING BACTERIA AND DNA IS WHAT I'M ENTHUSED IN! Oh yeah, if you're involved in biotechnology for drug design, your chances are even lower! Sad truth is, Malaysian universities does not have state-of-the-art equipments that we are utilising now! Heck, I don't know if they even have a software to design primers!

I'm not saying what we have learned overseas are futile. It's just that we couldn't maximise the knowledge that we have acquired back home. Also, even in private sectors I don't think there are one that hire folks to modify bacteria or genes. Oh well, I am permitted to work overseas for two years. I do hope my time spent here in New Zealand would be valuable and benefiting for the rest of my life.

Here's something to share. I found this recently I'm trying to collect all 7 volumes.
My friends and I went for a ski trip together on our way back home to Wellington from Auckland. The place was amazing, it was snowing!! Yeah, I lived in the part of the country where it doesn't snow. I'm really glad I did. Though the weather wasn't really pleasant, it is still good enough for skiing.

For renting the gears, I withdrew $400 worth of cash. Yeah, it's a lot of money considering I'm just gonna rent the gears, not buying them! That sum of money was meant to pay the house rent for the month of July as well. Earlier, I wanted to withdrew $800 but the teller machine gave this "withdraw limit reached" mumbo jumbo! Nevertheless, I settled for $400.

After making the necessary payment, Everyone including me geared ourselves with the skis/snowboards and ready for a literally rolling experience. Since our car was quite a distance from the building, I kept my wallet safely inside the pocket and have it zipped up.

Skiing is really tiresome! I fell face down BEFORE reaching the skiing slope! Well, it ain't so embarrassing since everyone else fell too. Apparently we're too much of a thrift to take skiing lesson. Say what you want, but experience is the best teacher! After the third fall, I learned how to slow down and brake though I didn't really do well at it. What makes it hard was that my boots got detached from the ski board several times. Reattaching boots is really hard thing to do especially when you're on a slope! Overall, I fell for five times and the last part, I slided and rammed to the back of a ski instructor. Man, he looked pissed.

Unfortunately enough, after we decided to stop for prayers, I realised that my pocket was bared open and my wallet was missing. Yup, with enough falling from skis, the zip can be ripped open and the wallet can be flung out! To add salt onto it, the weather suddenly turned worse and they called off everyone to return.Oh, such a predicament happening in the middle of the ski resort!

That evening, my senior helped me to make a police report. I have lost $250 of cash, bank cards and student IDs. It's most problematic since my local bank was out of funds and I had to rely on Malaysia bank card to survive until the month of August. Fortunately, my senior was kind enough to give me $100 to make do with everything until the end of July. Seniors suggested me to apply for student hardship funds and claims from the insurance. I did both and in return, I gained $260 from hardship funds and still waiting for reply from the insurance company.

Just yesterday, my wallet was posted back to me. A samaritan found my wallet and returned the wallet without taking a single buck from it! Well, I need to pay him the postage fees. Such a peculiar this incident was!

I DIDNT LOSE ANYTHING, DO I?

(I think the order of this post has been messed up. Sorry)

$10 for that bazooka blast out lollipops!

Awww, I finally had to leave that studio room. That place's really comfy and all but I can't keep up with the rent any longer! The checkout process was rather a peculiar one. I would be moving out with having a friend of mine to have submit my keys and proper documents for me since I would be away from home from today till the end of the winter break. Thanks goodness he was willing to help but then again, I'm not sure whether the admin will accept having someone else to return the keys and docs to them instead of me (policies are there to make their lives' better and ours to be worse!).

Nevertheless, clearing up room by yourself is a very tedious task indeed! I mean, I had to clear AND clean the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all by myself! Unlike life's in Intec before, we would split the task between four of us. Cleaning the shower is the hardest part, seriously. I had to use the coarse scrubber + Mr Muscle to remove all the grim marks all over the shower floor and seriously, that stain was there even after a number of sprays I put on them (Yeah, I wiped it too!).

To think that I done all this after my last paper. That freedom wasn't much freedom after all. Much of the enthusiasm of celebration died with household chores...

Thanks to help from two of my new housemates (there are 6 of us here), all my things were now placed safely but not well-organized in the new house. Now, all that is left is to convince all of them to buy an HDtv..........

Yeah, it's late. I know. A lot of things happened in for the past 2 weeks. Just right after finals, I had to clear up my stuio room and move in to my friend's house which is being notorious for having climate colder inside the house than the outside. Well, that's a boo for the comfort but at least I get to use p2p and access hongfire!

Right the day after final, I'm already on my way to Auckland. 45 minutes flight really doesn't feel much. All u get to do for the period is munching on the chips and watch whatever is there on the mini lcd screen. Apparently, they're sorta showing maori music videos. Not my taste.

Upon arriving to Auckland, we didn't get to explore the city. No. I had to go to a campsite located at the outskirts of Auckland! The campsite pretty much similar to what you see in the western movies or Camp Lazlo. Sleeping in lodge, proper toilets and even kitchen. Funny though, the lodge we stayed in was actually for the kids. The beds were brightly-coloured and somewhat small. It doesn't matter really. The place's insulation is even lower than what is acceptable and the heating was really insufficient! Due to this, none of us slept on the beds. We dragged down the mattress to the hall and slept there.

For a length of a week, I sat on lectures/discussions/tutorials/ regarding dakwah; why we need to perform it, what proofs that showed that the duty of dakwah is shouldered to every muslim, who are our targets and how to do it (well, it's just a rough outline. The details are miniscule). What I've learned prolly I would tell sometime later.....or never......it depends.

After the camp, I stayed at a senior's house. The day after the camp was a free day. I spent the morning arguing over the game of Risk and on the afternoon, I got a chance to visit the NZ Sky Tower. The view from the tower was breathtaking. But, it's just the view is nice. Nothing else. Nope, no sir! Well, then again KL tower isn't better in any way except for being taller than the Sky Tower. That evening, I met my ex-roomate. I think he's gotten weight. What the heck, it's winter! Everyone builds up fat!

Yeah, I'll keep this story on hold for now. I'll write the part 2 of it this soon.

By Saturday, 19th June 2010, a senior of mine would be offically have his own family. Congratulations to him and may the marriage blessed by Allah. Just a night ago, we threw a 'bachelor party' for him (Well, it's just taking him eating out in Wellington's famous Malaysian Halal Restaurant!). A lot of people came, making the event pretty much massive! I met with others, catching up whatever had happened to them. It turned out not only that groom going to go back home, there's another one! He went home for vacation for 3 weeks, which if you ask me, it ain't worth it unless you managed to reap a great flight deal, which I haven't found any...

Another senior went to the gathering, bringing along own made lamb kurma. Seriously, that kurma tastes just like one in Malaysia. Someone asked him, "How you made it so original?". He said he used kerisik (which, I don't know what it is in english). Well, no wonder kurma I made didn't taste awesome! I have to somehow acquire that kerisik thing.

Let's pull back to the main topic. That senior said that he hoped that all of us would find our own partner in life and settle down in the best way according to Islam. That's a great wish. However, hearing that, uneasy questions rose again in my thought; if I found someone, would I cherish her all my life in the name of Allah? Would I be able to carry out the responsibility as a husband properly? Would I be able to solve problems with my partner if they arise? Would I be able to guide her if she astrayed?

Speaking of which, my relatives sort of giving pressure to me to find a girlfriend. I refuse to be in that relationship as I don't believe in it. But I got a feeling that they think I fail at life in the sense of I could not be in a relationship with opposite sex. I depised that thought and just kept telling myself it's all just in my head.I hate people thinking that bf/gf relationship is a MUST have in order to get married. It serves no purpose! People giving me reasons why I need to be in a relationship but I never had seen those reasons to be justified. For example, reason no.1 : girlfriend is needed to give you motivation to study and I saw him wasting time with his girl on the phone and messenger resulting in their assignments unfinished and asked mine for it! Plus, if there were problems with their partner, they would be depressed and cannot study. So, how's that a motivation for your study? Reason no. 2 : you're gonna feel lonely being single. Well, yes I am but that's due to the fact that I lived ALONE in this room! There're few others like getting to know the person before making up your mind and such but there're even a GUIDEBOOK to counter those arguements available on net!

Its exam period currently in my university and It'll be over on 26h June 2010 (Well, it's over for me since my last paper would be on that date). I've had 2 papers last friday. Boy, that marketing paper would be a disaster! Frankly, I couldn't manage to fininsh it! I blame on spending one fat hour making the structure of answers. If only I cut it down till 45 minutes, I couldve finish it all. Oh well, I just missed the overview of the marketing recommendation report. The ideas already there, though. Prolly just get few marks cut from format. The marketing final would account 60% of the total marks and the other 40% came from interview assignments. Funny thing, I forgot to pick up my assignment assessment, rendering me clueless of my own internal mark. I'm going to assume the worst by getting 30% on that assignment and I wish that somehow, I would get 45% from the 60% from the final (hopes too high? I don't know how I fared on it actually). My senior told me that marketing was easy. Well, yes it was considering it's an open book and there's no wrong answer but reasoning must be concrete. Argh, I've lived a life where everything comes with answering scheme and boy that marketing answering scheme does not help me much!

I walked out from the exam hall with little depression. To make the matter worse, I was told that I had to continue my contract in this studio room I've been living in until November! There goes my financial planning gone to dust! For the 2nd semester, I would no longer possess any extra allowance all extras had gone on paying the rent for the first semester! Now, I would have only about $300 per month to spend on groceries. Yeah, I had the $250 monthly budget plan but still! I hate to know the fact I can only save $50 per month! Part time? Too lazy. Well, yeah I would look for it during the second semester. Perhaps working once a week for 6 hours could gain around $250 per month, which would generate pretty income. Well, that's 2nd option. These thoughts kept me in distress enough to distract my thought on the upcoming biology exam. As my mother has said "Do not let money matters worry you". I tried ignoring it, cooling myself off with ice-cold Mountain Dew (A small can of soft drinks were all I could think of when making the purchase, I'm still thinking of saving money that time! Lol at me!). During the biology examination, any thoughts of the rents and money stuffs were cleared off my head. I uttered words of thanks to Allah for calming me down. That's right! No wonder I didn't had enough time for Marketing paper! I didn't commence with bismillah like I did during Biology exam! A 2 hours paper was done in one hour (Not really impressive, three people had finished before me).I done re-checking, only to notice three mistakes in my answers (I've so used to MCQ with four choices that I always answered D as E). That's not a good sign, right? Well, glad I've AMPLE time to recheck. Anyway, it takes about only 20 minutes to recheck all 80 questions again.

Now I've just talked to the person in charge of the rooms in the accommodation and she would check for anyone interested in replacing me. I hope there would be. I wouldnt want to stay in the room for another 6 months!

Here's something to share :
Heck I've always wanna say that!

After waking up for performing sollah in the morning, my head felt truly heavy all of a sudden. I guess my body is still unused to the weather condition in New Zealand eh? Wrapped with a hoodie, I still woke up shivering in the praying room. Well, it's partly my fault, as electricity is included in my apartment room rent, the heater has been turned on 24/7! Thanks to that, it's no wonder that I would've gotten sick easily when I sleep at other places with no heater! Done with the programs,I immediately rushed home cuz my head was too dizzy for anything then. Right after I arrived, I dumped all my things and jumped onto the bed. Although I'm now in a warmer and more comfortable room, my body could not stop shivering. I slept all the way from 7am to 2 pm.

Somewhere at 11 am, my mom phoned. Gee, I really hoped that my mother would not notice that I'm sick today. All of them are in Rantau Panjang, celebrating my sister's wedding on the male side of the family. Right after the call, I easily dozed off again until 2 pm. Now at 6pm I'm not feeling any better. Perhaps, I would continue sleeping after isya' today. My meal today, only muffin with baked beans.....in my conditions now, I felt like throwing up every time I swallowed them.

Hopefully I would recover by tomorrow. I need to make up for the times wasted when I'm supposed to study. In my current state, reading facts about fungi would make feel like throwing up! Ugh!

Yeah, I would proceed no further about this. My theory is: The more I think about the fever, the more ill I would become. Hope it works since I'm good at distracting myself.

Lately, we were bombarded by the news of flotilla, ships carrying humanitarian aids which were attacked by the Israeli commandos and warships. It's really excruciating to see how they were attacked by live bullets and were called terrorists/extremists because they retaliate with kitchen knife and metal pipes. Those are weapons of people who are desperate to defend themselves. If you had people who pointing an assault rifle at you, would you just stay there waiting for death like reared animals? No, you would do everything possible to defend yourself!

Though, it's nothing compared to see ignorant comments that say those on board were stupid moslems or islamic extremists. Those who say people on board deserved what they get, they did not know there are americans, christians, jews, women, elders, members of the parliaments on board and others around the world! At any time, they could be killed! I salute those making ignorant comments supporting Israeli soldiers who would not hesitate to shoot down people of your own country. Your love for genocides exceed the love you had for people of your own country.

Enough of that, so I'm pulling out a great effort to deactivate my Facebook account. It ain't easy considering I had contacts of my childhood friends, distant relatives and even my teachers on the my list. It would not be easy to acquire it back. For that reason, before 6th of June 2010, I would pull as many as I can to join MillatFacebook, which is like Facebook only not biased against Muslims. Also, I wanna tell here that MillatFacebook is NOT for muslims only. It's for everyone but perhaps not for those who love senseless killings.

To readers of this post who support human rights, please leave your facebook account and look for alternatives. It ain't easy and it seem futile, I know. The most important thing here is that we are making an effort to put pressure to the Israeli Zionists. I apologise to people following Judaism if you are offended by this. I don't hate you. I hate zionists.

I missed it.

Girls in victorian-style clothings. Those in medieval times sure are lucky....

Without doubt, the Internet bridge two worlds together. Too extravagant? Fine, Internet bridge 2 pc together! My home back in Malaysia finally got the Internet service (again....) and I skyped with the whole family when first contact was made. My parents pretty excited to see how I was here in New Zea. Seriously, everyone gathered to see me! Even my cat does! My mom brought Natrah to the webcam so that I could take a look at her. Man, how come every chance I get to see her, she would be sleeping that time?? Nevertheless, she looked too cute. She's waaay to small too. Probably since she was born prematurely.

She was supposed to be due on June but she was born on May. Hm, so should she be a Cancer or a Gemini. Hmm? I'll say wait till she's old enough to speak. If she's like my mom, best chance she's a Gemini if otherwise, a Taurus (Come to think of it, we haven't had any Cancer in the family yet). If she's a cancer, I'm soo gonna get along with her!

Anyway, back to the skype thing. I lament that the person installing the internet was late that they could not install the cable broadband until the wedding's over. Yeah, I missed all the action out there. Plus, when the Internet was installed, all relatives had gone back. Still, I get to chat with my whole family, which is still something I should be thankful for. The chat went on like an hour with struggling to find anything to talk about in between. It's really hard to have a long conversation with your family. Short ones are fine though.

Not much to rant on anymore, I'll post up Kalafina - Hikari no Senritsu, both Single and PV. I really love the lyrics of this song and I think I'll memorise it to sing it to Natrah.
What the HECK?!

We're together only if you keep producing singles!

The rep from my sponsor visited my university yesterday to check up on us. After meeting her and the MSD people, I think there's a criteria for becoming a representative to check up on us, overseas students. You must have a very strong fatherly or motherly nature! Things she said pretty much what my parents would ask. "Is it easy to find food?". "Have you gotten sick since you came here?". "How are you managing your studies?", "Are you planning to get married?" and things like that (Yeah, getting married while bound to contract is really troublesome to them). Well, there are exception for the reminders that we are to pay back the sponsor in FULL if we fail! Medicine students were warned of paying back all the way to your 7th generation. Given that I owe half of the amount Medicine students owe, probably the debt stopped on my great grandkid. Lucky!

Best part however, the motivation of 99% loan cut to those earning 1st class honor. That's the best thing next to full scholarship! Yeah, I'm truly motivated now! Woohoo!

There was this interesting story told by the rep. She said there was one girl studying in Australia had saka with her. I know! What the hell were the Australian Customs doing?!! Surely that saka came without visa nor passport! I can't believe they missed it. Sheesh, be more cautious next time, kay? Furthermore, how can MAS issue flight ticket to that saka?! Surely it does not even have an IC. Well, I hope everything worked fine.

For this post, I'm sharing with you guys

Guys! I've just found out about the Story of Evil. It's based on one storyline and different songs are produced to narrate the event from different character perspectives. There're twists & emotions in the songs that I can't believe this hasn't been animated or manga-ed! Yeah, yeah. I'll calm down now....

Ehem, perhaps I should describe the background of the story eh?

Here we go!
In a kingdom, there's a princess in yellow who ruled the kingdom as she pleased. I wouldn't call it Iron fist though. Somehow that doesn't fit in. There's a damn loyal subject of her who would carry out all the orders from her. She impose high tax on the people and literally pillage their foods. She fell in love with a prince in blue but the prince loved a village girl of green. Despised, she ordered the killing of that girl (me: miku! NOOoooo!). The prince in blue was extremely enraged, with a woman of red joined him, and lead the people of the princess in yellow kingdom to overthrow her. Then,...........you gotta watch! It's so great that I wouldn't want to spoil it! Follow the videos in sequence, okay? By the way, these songs are sung by vocaloids so it might not appeal to everyone.

I'm gonna arrange the videos in order which I think would suit best

First, go with Daughter of Evil

Then, wait! Don't go for Servant of Evil! Instead, go for Prince of Blue

Third, SHOCK! Watch Servant of Evil (this is the only version I managed to find a nico singer performed it)

Wait, who's that red lady? Hmmm, watch Daughter of Vengeance!

Ow dear. What would happen to the princess? Here's Regret Message
Hands down, EPIC WIN! Life's brief candle couldn't own this! For your info guys, the original story would be Daughter of Evil > Servant of Evil > Regret Message > Daughter of White. The other videos are fanmade and the side story of it. Sorry if you dislike the order of the videos, mate. I'll improve.
For this post, here's Yozuca Stitch MuseumShiranaii Otokohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02772988866779569764noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7371316675975627822.post-11090628930052020532010-05-20T19:13:00.001+12:002010-06-12T13:45:59.933+12:00Recent animes are all about cats.......and fanservice

Whaddya Lookin' at?

Otakus out there (yeah, I'm talking to you!). Surely you noticed this, right? This cat anime (anime-based cats or cat-based anime? I wonder...) is a weird phenomenon. Is cats the "in" thing in Japan now? What the heck?! I'll feel sorry for dogs if this is true. Intriguingly, its not just 'cat' genre alone. It's 'catecchi' (cat+ecchi)! I can't say there was sudden burst in number of this anime but I can see the continuation of this hype or fever or whatever you call it.

The first outbreak : Nyan Koi!
Number of Episodes : 13
Those I blame : Sakakibara Yui (Why Nyanderful?!), Ryoko Shiraishi (Fan of her. Part of reason I watched it)
What's it about :
The main character, Kousaka Junpei who's allergic to feline knocked over a cat-god statue by accident and due to this, he was cursed to become a cat. It's a total nightmare since being allergic to yourself means a pitiful death (I think so). However, he can undo the curse by helping out the cats around him with their cat-tastrophic cat problems (get it??get it??).

This is the first which will be entailed by other horrificly-lame-why-the-heck-I-watch-this cat animes. There are good points of this anime. First, is the fanservice is kept to minimum (the level's too low that some of you won't label it fanservice). Second is that the voice actors did an awesome job living up the characters. Then again, most of the voice casts are actually famous folks well-known from other series. Without saying, it have to be good in terms of that! Third, less moe. Moe is great for newcomers but people will just get tired of it. Great that the characters didn't have much of those moe traits but still, its generic.

Bottom line, I had to say though this brings a bad aftermath, I do recommend this to those who are new to animes. The comedy is great to brighten up one's day.

The second outbreak : Oomamori Himari
Number of episodes : 12
Those I blame : Q (my pal), AyaRuka (Great theme song. Thumbs up on that), Stereotypes that think if a female cat becomes a teenage girl, she'll be one heck of a flirt.
What is it about :
A normal, average 16 yo kid Yuuto was taken care by his childhood friend Rin who obviously has secret feelings towards him (yeah, justa another tsundere) since Yuuto parents died. Then, a samurai girl, Himari suddenly appear in his life and she swears to protect Yuuto. Ironically, Himari is a cat in form of a human (a sexy one, that is) and Yuuto is allergic to cats.

Average guy, pretty girls, guy allergic to cats. Yeah, sort of like the above Nyan Koi but 10 times the fanservice level. I stopped watching this series at episode 3, I think. Though cat is kind of one of the theme here, I'll say this anime is 5% cat, 90% pantyshot, 5% fighting (Well, katanas have to be used in something). I can't really rant much else about this as I did not finish the series.

Nutshell, this anime this moe-overwhelmed and pretty much weak at everything else except the theme song, and lingeries (I'm bering brutally honest here). Though if you're into this sx materials, I still say you don't need to go after this series. Queen's Blade and Seikon no Qwaser would really satisfy your weird fetish.

Third outbreak : Mayoi neko overrun
Number of episodes : Still ongoing. I'm betting 12
Those I blame : Myself (for using the free time on the net rather than books), Kanae Ito (Really, I love your works but still I dissed on Happy New Nyaa), Taketatsu Ayana (you = cat eh?)
What's it about :
Tsuzuki Takumi, a generic highschooler + orphaned works and live in confectionery called 'Stray Cats' which the place is owned by his 'step sister' Otome (Well, she adopted him. Shouldn't she become the stepmother instead?). Otome is brutally good-natured that she travelled around the world just to help others (She really makes Nao in Liar Game looks lame). His childhood friend, Fumino, super-bossy-egoistical-obviously-tsundere type girl work part time at the shop. One day, Otome returned from her journey and brought back, a cat-girl, Nozomi.
Honestly, I love this anime. The storyline is pretty much like Seitokai no Ichizon; its drama that matters. Plots can go to hell. For once, the male protaganist is not clueless nor unbelievably dense. He really know what tsundere is! Rather than being clueless and beating around the bush like other moe protaganists, he knows how to handle Fumino ice queen behavior. Nothing much to say about Nozomi except that she's totally clueless at times (that's what makes her cute). Otome is pretty much conform to the rule of size of breast is inversely proportionally to common sense or intelligence.
Yes, there're elements of fanservice in the series but it's not overwhelming (except the hotspring episode. It's nudity all the way;both guys and girls). This series also has an otaku who hates 3D girls and love 2D girls who always gets into fight with Fumino (It makes one to think how weird this is) and another guy who is more mature and happens to be involved in Judo. What makes me really hooked in this anime was Umenomori Chise! She's such a brat! A very adorable brat, that is. She's filthy rich but has the problem of lacking love from her familes and she's totally lonely since everyone in school is afraid of her due to her parents' influence. She made me go awww when she was angry, beating up a doll and then cried in episode 5.

So I think it is appropriate that I share their singles for this post. Here you go!

Ability of an anime character to breathe outer space is still a mystery....

100 Rules of Anime
The laws of Anime is a growing list of physical, universal, and natural
phenomenon that seem to appear in various forms in all sorts of anime. The original
intent was an effort to classify these incidents into a list of "laws" that
explained how Anime physics are different from our own (real?) world. It is our hope
that you find them useful to studying Anime, or at the very least, worth a good
chuckle.
#1 - Law of Metaphysical Irregularity- The normal laws of physics do not apply.
#2 - Law of Differential Gravitation- Whenever someone or something jumps, is
thrown, or otherwise is rendered airborne, gravity is reduced by a factor of 4.
* Some things have been known to "Float" for a few seconds before plummeting to hit
the ground, vehicle, or someone’s cranium.
#3 - Law of Sonic Amplification, First Law of Anime Acoustics- In space, loud
sounds, like explosions, are even louder because there is no air to get in the way.
#4 - Law of Constant Thrust, First Law of Anime Motion- In space, constant thrust
equals constant velocity.
#5 - Law of Mechanical Mobility, Second Law of Anime Motion- The larger a
mechanical device is, the faster it moves, Armoured Mecha are the fastest objects
known to human science.
#6 - Law of Temporal Variability- Time is not a constant. Time stops for the hero
whenever he does something "cool" or "impressive". Time slows down when friends and
lovers are being killed and speeds up whenever there is a fight.
#7 - First Law of Temporal Mortality- "Good Guys" and "Bad Guys" both die in one of
two ways - either so quick they don’t even see it coming, OR it’s a long drawn out
affair where the character gains much insight to the workings of society, human
existence or why the toast always lands butter side down. *NOTE: Sometimes, Anime
heroes or villains never really die! In these rare cases they were a clone or cyborg
and the real hero/villain’s suspiciously missing in "Malletspace", or something.
#8 - Second Law of Temporal Mortality- It takes some time for bad guys to die...
regardless of physical damage. Even when the "Bad Guys" are killed so quickly they
don’t even see it coming, it takes them a while to realize they are dead. This is
attributed to the belief that being evil damages the Reality Lobe of the brain.
#9 - Law of Dramatic Emphasis- Scenes involving extreme amounts of action are
depicted with either still frames or black screens with a slash of bright color
(usually red or white).
#10- Law of Dramatic Multiplicity- Scenes that only happen once, for instance, a
"Good Guy" kicks the "Bad Guy" in the face, are seen at least 3 times from 3
different angles.
#11- Law of Inherent Combustibility- Everything explodes. Everything.
First Corollary- Anything that explodes bulges first.
Second Corollary- Large cities are the most explosive substances known to
human science. Tokyo in particular seems to be the most unstable of these cities,
sometimes referred to as "The Matchstick City".
#12- Law of Phlogistatic Emission- Nearly all things emit light from fatal wounds.
#13- Law of Energetic Emission- There is always an energy build up (commonly
referred to as an energy "bulge") before Mecha or space craft weapons fire. Because
of the explosive qualities of weapons, it is believed that this is related to the
Law of Inherent Combustibility.
#14- Law of Inverse Lethal Magnitude- The destructive potential of any
object/organism is inversely proportional to its mass.
First Corollary- Small and cute will always overcome big and ugly. Also
known as the A-Ko phenomenon.
#15- Law of Inexhaustibility- No one *EVER* runs out of ammunition. That is of
course unless they are cornered, out-numbered, out-classed, and unconscious.
#16- Laws of Inverse Accuracy- The accuracy of a "Good Guy" when operating any form
of firearm increases as the difficulty of the shot increases. The accuracy of the
"Bad Guys" when operating firearms decreases when the difficulty of the shot
decreases. (Also known as the Stormtrooper Effect) Example: A "Good Guy" in a
drunken stupor being held upside down from a moving vehicle will always hit, and
several battalions of "Bad Guys" firing on a "Good Guy" standing alone in the middle
of an open field will always miss.
First Corollary- The more "Bad Guys" there are, the less likely they will
hit anyone or do any real damage.
Second Corollary- Whenever a "Good Guy" is faced with insurmountable odds,
the "Bad Guys" line up in neat rows, allowing the hero to take them all out with a
single burst of automatic fire and then escape.
Third Corollary- Whenever a "Good Guy" is actually hit by enemy fire, it is
in a designated "Good Guy Area", usually a flesh wound in the shoulder or arm,
which restricts the "Good Guy" from doing anything more strenuous than driving,
firing weaponry, using melee weapons, operating heavy machinery, or doing complex
martial arts maneuvers.
*Fourth Corollary- The more times the "Bad Guy" fires, the fewer times he
will hit.
#17- Law of Transient Romantic Unreliability- Minimei is a bimbo. (Note: The
Minority Opposition in Ohio disagrees and thinks all men who like this stuff needs
to get out more.)
#18- Law of Hemoglobin Capacity- the human body contains over 12 gallons of blood,
sometimes more, under high pressure.
#19- Law of Demonic Consistency- Demons and other supernatural creatures have at
least three eyes, loads of fangs, tend to be yellow-green or brown, but black is not
unknown, and can only be hurt by bladed weapons. *Also, acid has been known to work
just as well...
#20- Law of Militaristic Unreliability- Huge galaxy-wide armadas, entire armies, and
large war machines full of cruel, heartless, bloodthirsty warriors can be stopped
and defeated with a single insignificant example of a caring/loving emotion or a
song.
First Corollary- Whenever a single war machine (mecha, starship, etc.) goes
up against an entire army, the army always loses.
#21- Law of Tactical Unreliability- Tactical geniuses aren’t...
#22 -Law of Inconsequential Undetectability- People never notice the little
things... like missing body parts, or wounds the size of Seattle.
#23- Law of Juvenile Intellectuality- Children are smarter than adults. And almost
twice as annoying.
#24- Law of Americanthromorphism- Americans in Anime appear in one of two roles,
either as a really nasty skinny "Bad Guy" or a big stupid "Good Guy".
First Corollary- The only people who are more stupid than the big dumb
Americans are the American translators. (Sometimes referred to as the Green Line
Effect)
Second Corollary- The only people who are more stupid than the American
translators are the American editors and censors.
*Third Corollary- Canadians are usually portrayed as smart, strong, handsome
"Good Guys".
#25- Law of Mandibular Proportionality- The size of a person’s mouth is directly
proportional to the volume at which they are speaking or eating.
#26- Law of Feline Mutation- Any half-cat/half-human mutation will invariably:
1) be female.
2) will possess ears and sometimes a tail as a genetic mutation.
3) wear as little clothing as possible, if any.
#27- Law of Conservation of Firepower- Any powerful weapon capable of
destroying/defeating an opponent in a single shot will invariably be reserved and
used as a last resort.
#28- Law of Technological User-Benevolence- The formal training required to operate
a spaceship or mecha is inversely proportional to its complexity.
#29- Law of Melee Luminescence- Any being displaying extremely high levels of
martial arts prowess and/or violent emotions emits light in the form of a glowing
aura. This aura is usually blue for "Good Guys" and red for "Bad Guys". This is
attributed to Good being higher in the electromagnetic spectrum than Evil.
#30- Law of Non-Anthropomorphic Antagonism- All ugly, non-humanoid alien races are
hostile, and usually hell-bent on destroying humanity for some obscure reason.
#31- Law of Follicular Chromatic Variability- Any color in the visible spectrum is
considered a natural hair color. This color can change without warning or
explanation.
#32- Law of Follicular Permanence- Hair in anime is pretty much indestructible, and
can resist any amount of meteorological conditions, energy emissions, physical
abuse, or explosive effects and still look perfect. The only way to hurt someone’s
hair is the same way you deal with demons... with bladed weapons!
#34- Law of Probable Attire- Clothing in anime follows certain predictable
guidelines: Female characters wear as little clothing as possible, regardless of
whether it is socially or meteorologically appropriate. Any female with an excessive
amount of clothing will invariably have her clothes ripped to shreds or torn off
somehow. If there is no opportunity to tear off aforementioned female’s clothes,
then she will inexplicably take a shower for no apparent reason (also known as the
Gratuitous Shower Scene). Whenever there is a headwind, Male characters invariably
wear long cloaks that don’t hamper movement and billow out dramatically behind them.
First Corollary (Cryo-Adaptability)- All anime characters are resistant to
extremely cold temperatures, and do not need to wear heavy or warm clothing in snow.
Second Corollary (Indecent Invulnerability)- Bikinis render the wearer
invulnerable to any form of damage.
*Third Corollary (Probable Attire permanence)- The clothing on the hero is
indestructible. Their capes, robes, (and if they are girls,) skirts, dresses, bows,
or any loose clothing will just flap when they are in the middle of a fire or ice
attack... Unless it's a hentai. It is believed that the clothes are made out of
Anime Character hair. (re. Laws 32 & 48)
#35- Law of Musical Omnipotence- Any character capable of musical talent (singing,
playing an instrument, etc. Is automatically capable of doing much more "simple"
things, like piloting mecha, fighting crime, stopping an intergalactic war, and so
on... especially if they’ve never attempted these things before.
#36- Law of Quintupular Agglutination- Also called "The Five-man Rule", when "Good
Guys" group together, it tends to be in groups of five. There are five basic
positions, which are:
1) The Hero/Leader
2) His Girlfriend
3) His Best Friend/Rival
4) A Hulking Brute
5) A Dwarf/Kid
Between these basic positions are distributed several attributes, which include:
1) Extreme Coolness
2) Amazing Intelligence
3) Incredible Irritation
#37- Law of Extradimensional Capacitance- All anime females have an
extrasdimensional storage space of variable volume somewhere on their person from
which they can instantly retrieve any object at a moment’s notice. This mysterious
dimension is commonly called "Malletspace".
First Corollary (AKA The Hammer Rule)- The most common item stored is a
heavy mallet, costumes/uniforms, power suits/armor, and large bazookas.
#38- Law of Hydrostatic Emission- Eyes tend to be rather large in Anime. This is
because they contain several gallons of water, which may be instantaneously released
at high pressure through large tear ducts. The actual volume of water contained in
the eyes is unknown, as there is no evidence to suggest that these reservoirs are
actually capable of running out. The reason water tends to collect in the eyes is
because Anime characters only have one large sweat gland, which is located at the
back of the head. When extremely stressed , embarrassed, or worried, this sweat
gland exudes a single but very large drop of sebaceous fluid.
#39- Law of Inverse Attraction- Success at finding suitable mates is inversely
proportionate to how desperately you want to be successful. The more you want, the
less you get and vice-versa.
First Corollary- Unfortunately, this law seems to apply to Otaku in the real
world...
#40- Law of Nasal Sanguination- When sexually aroused, males in Anime don’t get
erections, they get nosebleeds. No one’s sure why this is, though... the current
theory suggests that larger eyes means smaller sinuses and thinner sinus tissue (see
Law #38 above). Females don’t get nosebleeds, but invariably get one heck of a blush
along the cheeks and across the nose, suggesting a lot of bloodflow to that region.
#41- Law of Xylolaceration- Wooden or bamboo swords are just as sharp as metal
swords, if not sharper.
#42- Law of Juvenile Omnipotence- Always send a boy to do a man’s job. He’ll get it
done in half the time and twice the angst.
#43- Law of Triscaquadrodecophobia- There is no Law #43.
#44- Law of Nominative Clamovocation- the likelihood of success and damage done by a
martial arts attack is directly proportional to the volume at which the full name of
the attack is announced (known as the Kamehameha effect).
#45- Law of Uninteruptable Metamorphosis- Regardless of how long or involved the
transformation sequence or how many times they’ve seen it before, any "Bad Guys"
witnessing a mecha/hero/heroine transforming are too stunned to do anything to
interrupt it.
#46- Law of Flimsy Incognition- Simply changing into a costume or wearing a teensy
mask can make you utterly unrecognizable to even your closest friends and relatives.
*#47- Law of Mandibular Combustible Emission- All anime characters seem to have some
unknown chemical on their breath that reacts VERY violently with extremely hot or
spicy food. This chemical may also be responsible for the phenomenon of fire behind
the eyes and from the mouth when a character (usually a female) is really angry.
*#48- Law of Electrical and Combustible Survivalism- If you get electrocuted or
burned, YOU WILL SURVIVE!! Though your entire body will be scorched, seconds later,
your skin won’t have a trace of damage (Also known as the "Pikachu Effect").
First Corollary- When a magical bad guy/Alien/monster fires off a flame,
wind, or ice attack, the resulting effect is only enough for the hero(es)/heroine(s)
to be standing in the "Walking Against the Wind" stance, with his/her eyes shut and
letting out a pathetic "Aaaaagh!", and yet they are never harmed. This may be in
part to laws 32, 34 and sometimes 44.
*#49- Law of Female wrath- If a male character insults a female character, he will
get a mallet, shotgun, or tank blast, or if she is a character that can perform
magical feats, a fireball or whatever, to the head, body or whatever (Also known as
the "Lina Inverse/Gourry Factor") This is because he always deserves it, and will
help him to cope in today’s society. (>Sniff Sniff< So True!!)
*#50- Law of Artistic Perversion- Most (not all) Anime artists are perverts and are
under the impression that girls are willing to tear off their clothes, or wear VERY
small, revealing outfits at the drop of a pin (or pen for that matter).
Unfortunately, most Hentai fans are under the same impression.
*#51- Law of Uninteruptable Nominative Clamovocation- This law is a mixture of Laws
44 and 45. Regardless of how long or involved the Spell or projectile attack is, and
the likelihood of success and damage done by the volume at which the full name of
the attack is announced, or how many times they’ve seen it before, any "Bad Guys"
witnessing a hero/heroine quoting the incantations for an extremely powerful attack
are too stunned to do anything to interrupt it. (Also known as the "Dragon Slave
Phenomenon")
*52- Law of Telepathic Obliviousness- Most of the time, some Anime characters
(usually males) will think personal (Like that he/she has sabotaged something), or
perverted thoughts, while near some other character, WHO’S TELEPATHIC!! The reasons
for this are:
1) They forgot that the person is telepathic.
2) They just don’t give a damn.
The reasons the telepathic person doesn’t react are:
1) They’re preoccupied with doing something else.
2) They’d rather keep the fact to themselves that they are Telepathic.
3) They just don’t give a damn.
+#53- Law of Chromatic Diversity- Air can be any color of the viewable spectrum.
+#54- Law of Old Man Comic Relief- Comic relief comes in the form of a short, bald,
wise-mouthed dirty old man or alien. Or the combination of any two of those traits.
First Corollary- If old man is present, and is acting too horny, stupid,
etc., there will invariably be an old woman to whap him over the head with a frying
pan or something.
+#55- Law of the Wise Old Man- Little old Japanese men always know how it ends and
withhold the ending from anyone, especially the hero. This includes special power
weapons, ancient relics, and people who know everything.
+#56- Law of Omnipotent Unreliability- Any "Bad Guy" with Omnipotent powers/weapons
will never use those powers/weapons against the "Good Guy" until it is too late.
First Corollary- All "Bad Guys" suffer from Antagonistic Boasting Syndrome
which require all "Bad Guys" to threaten with or exemplify their prowess and not use
it against the "Good Guy".
Second Corollary- No "Bad Guy" may use any new, secret, or superior military
device without one of the following events occurring:
a) The control device being broken.
The control device being taken by the "Good Guy".
c) The control device is in fact not the real device at all and was just
"fooled" by the "Good Guy".
d) The "Bad Guy" has already lost and cannot use the device.
+#57- Law of Minimum Corneal Volume- Eyeballs may make up no less than one sixth of
the face’s total surface area. More so if the case is a blonde woman.
+#58- Law of Electrical Charges in Hair- Hair attracts electricity in abundance,
resulting in two outcomes:
a) A positive charge will result in the spikes-flying-everywhere-behind-me
look.
A negative charge will result in the
hair-cascading-down-to-the-waist-in-a-single-sheet look.
+#59- Law of Ammunition Accuracy- When there are multiple types of ammunition
available (paintballs, speaker pods), non-lethal rounds will always be more accurate
when compared to "standard" or lethal shots. (Macross Plus for paintballs, Macross 7
for speaker pods)
+#60- Law of Active Female Attraction- In a comedy series, a male character’s
attractiveness to women is inversely proportional to how active they pursue them.
(Tenchi, Ranma, and Makoto [OVA] have a seemingly endless supply of willing
girlfriends despite their lack of romantic skill while Happosai, Ataru, and Carrot
couldn’t get a date despite [or because of] their constant attempts.)
+#61- Law of Sweat Pore Variability- When a person is embarrassed, caught in an
awkward situation, or otherwise humiliated, all sweat pores on the body contract,
except for ones on the forehead. These pores expand to such a degree that a single
drop could fill a Big Gulp from 7-11.
+#62- The Law of Inverse Training Time- A person who has been training for 3 years
is never as good as someone who has been training for one month.
+#63- Law of Needs to Few and Many- The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the
few... of even the one.
+#64- Law of Bad Humor- Whenever someone says something that is intended to be
funny, whether actually funny or not, the rest of the characters (even animals) fall
to the ground with their feet in the air. Sweat sometimes accompanies the fall.
*(The sound of a cow mooing usually accompanies the joke as well.)
+#65- Law of Extreme Anger- Whenever a female character gets mad, such as seeing the
male character with another girl, she becomes extremely strong (despite her usually
helpless look) so that she can lift a 1000 ton object to hurt the guy. She can
sometimes perform other punishments that are just as cruel such as pinching the
guy’s face so hard that it changes shape. *(see law #49)
+#66- Law of Differentiated Gravitation-
First Corollary- If the airborne entity exceeds an altitude equal or greater
than two times the height of the entity, gravity is decreased by an inverse
coefficient relative to the upward momentum and mass/weight (if within at least
500 km of any gravity source) of the entity "jumping".
Second Corollary- The amount of Newtonian "opposite force" (in accordance to
normal downward velocity; "Earth gravity" speed is equal to 32ft/sec/sec) is also
inversely proportional to the "actual" speed of the airborne entity. In all
actuality, an entity that appears to be flying towards a solid concrete parking lot
from space will actually land, producing an opposite force of approximately 1.73 lb.
of pressure. Unless this particular entity is a "Bad Guy". Then the law exhibits a
mysterious exponentially proportional Newtonian opposite force, thusly increasing
this variable by a factor equal to the inverse-gravity potential.
+#67- Law of Conservation of Ambient Dramatic Tension- In any situation where the
Ambient Dramatic Tension increases, the "Good Guy’s" Style Coefficient must be
increased by a proportional amount to compensate. In any situation where this does
not happen, the "Bad Guy" inevitably comes out on top. However, this usually leads
to a further rise in the Ambient Dramatic tension, which will *always* be offset by
an exponential increase in the "Good Guy’s" Style Coefficient.
+#68- Law of Coercive Vehicular Control- No matter how complex or well defined the
control system, a character controlling a vehicle of any sort always does so through
means of undetectable subconscious psychokinesis.
First Corollary- Characters can perform actions with their vehicles which
clearly defy normal physics (see Laws of Metaphysical Irregularity and Constant
Thrust). The velocity, attitude and traction of the vehicle appear to be adjusted at
will, with the degree of absolute control being proportional to the complexity and
lethality of the maneuver.
Second Corollary- It is effectively impossible to remove characters from or
disrupt the passage of their vehicles without the character’s consent. This does not
always apply to "Bad Guy" characters, or "Good Guy" characters in situations where
the Ambient Dramatic Tension could increase in accordance with the Law of
Conservation of Ambient Dramatic Tension.
+#69- Amendment to the Law of Conservation of Ambient Dramatic Tension- In any
situation where the Ambient Dramatic Tension increases without a corresponding
increase in the "Good Guy’s" Style Coefficient, not only does the "Bad Guy" usually
come out on top, but also his Smugness Factor increases in proportion to the rise in
Ambient Dramatic Tension.
+#70- Law of The Rushing Background Effect- Whenever something dramatic occurs, a
survival instinct engages, thus rendering all incoming stimulus that is not directly
and immediately to the dramatic situation at hand a meaningless blur. This is often
referred to as "The Rushing Background Effect". Due to the increase in brain
activity and adrenaline levels in the bloodstream, the scene is often played out in
slow motion.
+#71- Law of Interdimensional Hammers- Whenever a female character witnesses a male
character of her preference performing any sort of questionable act (i.e. Looking at
another girl or anything she might construe as perverted) she can reach into an
interdimensional realm (usually behind her back) and withdraw a huge Anime Mallet of
Doom with which to whack the said male over the head with. *(see Laws # 37, 49, and
65)
+#72- Law of Instant Band-Aids- Whenever a character is injured (usually in a head
shot, maybe from a mallet whack) Band-Aids will always instantly appear on the
wounded individual (and always in pairs, set in a cross fashion). These bandages
will then, most likely, disappear by the character’s next scene.
+#73- Law of Universal Edge Defense- Any projectile attack, from a blast of magic to
a hail of bullets, can be easily defended against by holding a suitably cool-looking
sword or other bladed weapon between the attacker and defender, usually so that the
edge cuts into the incoming attack(s), causing both halves to go flying harmlessly
past the defender. Observed most often in fantasy and martial arts anime.
+#74- Law of Intractable Sanity- There is no such thing as insanity in anime. When
faced with horrifying supernatural forces that would drive most men mad, anime
characters will either:
a) Die quickly (but in accordance with all other laws [e.g., slowdown and
exposition]),
Get possessed by them, especially if they are beautiful girls or men in a
position to ravish beautiful girls, or
c) Kill them, wipe the blood off their blades, and walk on whistling.
+#75- Law of Celestial Body Control- At a dramatically correct moment, a hero can
summon a sun/moon/halo to appear behind him/her to cause a dramatic silhouette.
+#76- Law of Aura of Forgetfulness- Any hero who wishes his/her identity to remain a
secret will invariably succeed regardless of disguise because everyone around
him/her will forget everything. Otherwise, how does Sailor Moon keep her disguise?
+#77- Law of Cool Hair Factor- The hair of a hero will always coalesce into thick
strands that drape his face into a dramatic fashion, regardless of wind, the
elements, etc. *(see Laws 32 & 48)
+#78- Law of Inverse Coping- Any single event will happen to the ONE character LEAST
capable of dealing with it.
*#79- Law of Martial Arts Training Invulnerability- The Myth that certain martial
arts will enable you to become so strong, that you can stop a nuclear warhead with
your bare palm. Unfortunately, for most otaku, they found the hard way that it just
doesn’t work in real life...
*#80- Law of Stereotype Captain characteristics- If a captain of any type of ship is
male, he will invariably wear a big captain’s cap, a long overcoat, and have a
shaggy beard and mustache (pipe optional), and be a great tactician. If the captain
is female, however, she will invariably be young, well endowed, and ditzy as a pole
(horny father optional). Yet, she too will be a great tactician.
*#81- Law of Shades/Coolness Factor- Shades can make you instantly cool, even if
you’re normally a klutz.
*#82- Law of Hentai Plot- The proper response to any change in the plotline of a
Hentai anime is to start having sex.
*#83- Law of Understatement- Anything that is deemed too impossible will become
possible.
First Corollary- Any "Bad Guy" stating "T-that’s impossible!" whenever the
hero is accomplishing some new feat/move/projectile will find out too late that he
is wrong and will invariably be toastied.
*#84- Law of Dormant Powers- Anytime a hero is somehow outpowered and/or outclassed
by the villain, he will invariably release powers/new moves he never knew he could
accomplish... but his old teacher did!
*#85- Law of Style Coefficient- In a situation where a Good guy may be in dire
straits, he will become stronger, smarter and more cool in a matter of seconds. (see
Laws #67, 69, and 84)
*#86- Law of Bad Guy Smugness Factor- Whenever the villain actually succeeds in
beating the hero, they will begin to gloat uncontrollably, because they’ve never won
against the "Good Guy" (because they’re Eeeviiil!!). They usually get so cocky, they
tie the hero to a conveyor belt leading to his doom and leave to get a snack.
Usually this results in:
a) The hero escaping.
Clean-up for the underlings.
c) The villain getting toastied.

*#87- Law of Tableware Nonexistence- There IS no spoon.
*#88- Law of Goofy Turn-Ons- In Hentai, ordinary , pedestrian objects sometimes have
the magical power of either inducing orgasm or arousal. Some include warm water,
rolling on a smooth tabletop, wind, mild electrocution, the character toweling
themselves after a bath/shower, and very cold objects... like bottles of 7-up.
*#89- Law of Penile Variance- All Anime men in Hentai have a ridiculously large
penis (lengths of 8, 9, 10 and 11 inches are most common). Some even have ones the
size of telephone poles, despite the blood loss that would accompany it...
*#90-Law of Hentai Female Characteristics- All Hentai women have the following
characteristics:
1) Very sensitive and/or very large breasts with large nipples.
2) Very tight and/or sensitive vaginas.
*#91- Law of Vaginal Variance- Hentai Anime women can take penis lengths of 8" and
up... completely... despite the fact that they might have a tight and/or sensitive
vagina.
*#92- Law of Hero Identification- All heroes are introduced by way of appearance
while someone talking about their (in)famous-ness, or by way of a voice-over of them
introducing themselves.
*#93- Law of Cute Mascots- Any anime either Shojo or Shonen has GOT to have at
least one cute, furry little mascot by penalty of death!
First Corollary- If it is a Shonen Anime, the hero will be accompanied by a
Dog, Cat or any kind of animal, real or fake, that would be found with a hero of the
male persuasion. Any animal that would be associated with girls that is following
him around is there because:
1) It’s his girlfriend’s.
2) It is following him, despite his insistence not to do so.
3) Chicks will dig him more.
Second Corollary- If it is a Shojo Anime, the heroine will be accompanied by
a cat, cute lil’ mouse, or some disgustingly cute monster, or any kind of animal,
real or fake, that would be found with a hero of the female persuasion. Any animal
that would be associated with guys that is following her around is there because:
1) It’s her boyfriend’s.
2) It is following her, despite her insistence not to do so.
3) It makes her look cool.
*#94- Law of The Force- Most Anime heroes are blessed with a unique sort of ability
that enables bad things to happen to those that deserve it or makes things like
bullets or debris totally miss them (Also referred to as "Dumb Luck"), even though
they are mostly unaware of it. Those who have this ability include Vash the
Stampede, Captain Justy Ueki Tylor, and Jar Jar Binks.
*#95- Law of Naughty Tentacles- All Anime Tentacles are VERY horny and will rape any
human female, regardless of age ("She’s 18! No! Really, she is! I’m not lying!...")
First Corollary- Even when raped or molested by tentacles, Hentai Anime
girls eventually get into it & begin squealing in ecstasy. NO one knows WHY this is,
but some theorize there may be some kind of chemical that is secreted through the
skin of the tentacle...
Second Corollary- Women who are impregnated by a tentacle creature never
experience morning sickness, and also find it to be intensely pleasurable (Also
known as the Goofy Meter Redline Effect).
Third Corollary- Similarly, the resulting... offspring of tentacle/human
relations is immediately sexually active, often impregnating its own mother again.
*#96- Law of Cat-Fighting- Two females with a grudge can and will go at each other,
sometimes ripping off clothes. Sometimes it escalates so much, that property damage
begins to occur.
First Corollary- A running fight can be so destructive, you can follow it
from a distance just by watching for the smoke. (Also known as the "A-ko/B-ko
Thing")
*#97- Law of Healing- Most anime heroes have a Wolverine-like healing factor that
enables them to regenerate from a massive wound or broken bone within minutes. Being
immortal sometimes helps. (Also known as the "Priss Effect".)
*#98- Law of Stereotype Crew Characteristics- All ships, either waterborne or
spaceborne, have the following crew members:
1) The captain
2) His Lieutenant
3) Various female technical staff
4) A hotshot pilot
5) A cute little girl/twins (either stowaways or not)
6) The Doctor
7) The Doctor’s assistant (either a spy or not)
Weighted among the crew are various quirks which include:
1) Extreme coolness/luck
2) Amazing Intelligence
3) Incredible irritation
4) Extreme cuteness
5) Irresponsible drunkenness
6) Homophobicness
7) Emotionless (Idiots.)
*#99- Law of Sparklies- Whenever a character of the main character’s interest
appears, flowers, sparkles, or abstract circles of pastel colors appear around said
character, or both. Roses with exaggerated thorns appear when it is dangerous love.
No one knows why this is, though most have a theory: Anime characters are freaks! At
least, Marker Apenname seems to think so...
*#100- Law of Anime Events- Much like wrestling, anything and everything can happen.

My cousin said she looked like me. That's.....wrong somehow

Friday 14 May 2010. I received a facebook message from my mom. My sister is going to be on labor. My response : Uh, this is a big news! Why'd you use facebook?!! Well regardless, I phoned my mom and asked how my sister was doing. My mom was complaining that the doctor from the private hospital refused to look after my sister and insisted that she to go to general hospital instead. I don't know about policies and all that but I certainly have a bad impression on private practice now.

Eventually, everything was fine. The baby was born on 6 am 15th May 2010. Thank you Allah, for making the delivery of the baby easy and safe. Too bad though, all my families couldn't visit her yet, except well of course her husband. They all had to wait until 12pm to see the new member of the family. For some reason, my 2nd sister was also there. So, I'm imagining she drove alone all the way to Kuala Lumpur, speeding, from Bagan Datoh. She's cool! I got to talk to my newly-became-mother sis through the phone. She asked me to suggest name for the baby. I remember that she asked to include Irish names as well since....I don't know, she like Irish name I guess....

Well, I rummage through baby names websites and used my C-level creativity to create names from Arabic, Irish and Japanese names (yeah, so twisted eh?!). After jotting the "sounds nice" names, I tried to rearrange them to make a good meaning out of it (Well, you would need Quadlingual Dict. to figure it out!). There are 10 names

Here they are :

1. Asa Iffah Hurriyah - Morning + Protected + Fairy (Bidadari in Malay)

2. Suhaila Alanis - Soft + Peaceful

3. Siham Rashidah - Arrow + one who was given guidance

4. Ridwana Rifiah - Happiness + Nobility

5. Asa Athiyyah - Morning + Gift

6. Iklil Qistina - Crown/Throne + Justice/Fair

7. Nadhirah Amani - Beauty + My tranquility

8. Firdaus Siham - Heaven + Arrow

9. Khairunnisa Islam - The best woman + Islam

10. Nur Nafeesa - Light + Precious item

Yeah 90% of them are arabic. Hey, it's hard to combine them ok?! Anyway, if you find them interesting and you want to use em for your future children, by all means go ahead. Names are the doa for the children so it's crucial to pick them wisely.

Well, I have to say all 10 of them are rejected. At last, my sister wanted her to be named Natrah (which means happy / joy). Honestly, I'm not the only one disappointed here. My mom thinks it's......old and plain and my 2nd sis whose name VERY CLOSELY TO NATRAH don't really like the name to be too similar.

I can't see the baby right now since I'm thousands of miles away from them right now. So, I'll post these instead!

This screening started last friday night and will continue weekly until the end of this year. The theme presented ranging from "why Islam" to popular issues (woman rights etc.). They've arranged it in order of the tip of the iceberg to rock bottom (I really don't know how to describe the order but if I could show you the screening schedule, you'll get what I mean). The announcement was distributed via email and the notice board inside the praying room as well. They've said that they welcome non-muslim to the event but I don't really think the non-muslims would now. You see, people who became member of the muslim club in my uni or people who happened to pray in the praying room would know about it. In short, if the muslims didn't invite their non-muslims friends, chances are, they wouldn't know about it.

The first night; Why Islam? Since the screening is made on Friday night, me, who would usually be gaming during that period went to have a look at it. Well, finally I did something worthwhile on friday night for once!
Honestly, I have to say food has a "partial" slice of why I went for the screening. Free food! Who wouldn't like that?! Food has become a significant motivation for me here in oversea. Truly, I don't need to cook, I don't need to pay for it too! Call me leech or freeloader or whatever you want. It's just a part of the reason I was there!

Judging by the title, one might think this would be targeted at the non-muslims. Surely they would want to know how come there are a large number of people following the teaching of Islam and the figures are keep increasing by reversion (In Islam, a brother or sister who became a muslim not by childbirth are termed reverted, not converted. Everyone's originally a muslim before they were born into this world). With the current media, it's not uncommon to hear "Why would anyone follow the religion of terrorists?!". Yeah, if you learn Islam through the news on tv, that would not make a SINGLE SENSE right?! Therefore, the theme of "why Islam" is a response to this question. Sad to say, since non-muslims pretty much unaware about it, all of the people present were muslims (except a chinese lad who I believe is buddhist. We easily became friends due to very similar interest in Anime).

In my opinion about the videos, they've reaffirm why I'm a muslim without doubting its teachings. First there was a video about a revert from Melbourne regarding his story of becoming a muslim and then there's Baba Ali and his share of story of how he became a muslim
